Issues: Marriage Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

Marriage is between one man and one woman.
Divorce is between one man and one woman.
Same sex marriage is a federal rights issue not a states rights issue.
Committed gay and lesbian couples should be allowed the same protections under our federal laws that heterosexual couples currently enjoy.
If the Gay and Lesbian communities want to have a "committence" between partners they should be allowed to do so, it should not be called a marriage, with the "committence" there will also have to be a "dissolution" process and this should not be called a divorce.
